Ok its going to be 3 days until i can touch it up. and i want to know a few questions.

    1. is OkToPrep necessary or is it just an add on and also, what does it so.

    2. What other tweaks r there and what do they do?

    3. does anyone know the percentage of bricking it.

And 4. is this a good lie to tell my dad since im not supposed to do this?

U know hwo u can add games onto phones? well this is it. they have games and other things people made for the iphone and apple decided to make it for the ipod touch too since they used the same hardware.

    1. Yes, you need oktoprep to jailbreak 1.1.2
    2. You'll find out when you finally get the touch xD

It is neccesary to update from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2
    2. What other tweaks r there and what do they do?
There are tons of tweaks that do everything from keeping WI-FI enabled during standby to putting an icon on the taskbar when you have an email
    3. does anyone know the percentage of bricking it.
0% if you follow the direction
    And
    4. is this a good lie to tell my dad since im not supposed to do this?

Not bad, but I'd recommend explaining to him that jailbreaking is completely legal, and any harm done is easily restored by a hard wired force restore, which makes it impossible to completely brick it

Let's start at #4. Why would you lie to your father? Instead, show him the online videos and jailbreak instruction messages. Educate him and explain the benefits.
It would be better still if you would wait until February when Apple releases ver. 1.1.3
Trust me when I tell you that your relationship with your father far outweighs the value of a jailbroken or any other kind of Touch

    i have a question...

the "error 1602" for when you try to connect/update your ipod touch to 1.1.2, the cause of this error as mentioned in the apple website is not stated..

i have been un-installing and re-installing itunes and all Apple components to my PC a lot of times now, but i still get this "error 1602"..

can anyone tell me why i get this error..

    thank you!
