My Touch is being delivered on Monday, and I have some questions for those who have one or those who know what from the iPhone carries over. I'm debating whether I should keep it or just return it.

    1. Is the screen issue universal, or just a few? Also, am I wrong to assume that once Apple acknowledges it, they'll repair mine for me for free?

    2. I heard the touchscreen is a lot worse then the iPhone, anyone know if there's any truth to that?

    3. Does the dictionary learn, or can you add to it? My last name is a little different, and when I tried typing it on the iPhone, it would auto correct me, which was a pain.

    4. Does Safari auto-fill fields such as user name/password? (Keychain?) This one isn't going to sway my decision either way, but it would be a lot nicer to have.

    well Matt, heres the deal

    1. from what I understand, most iPoT users experience this to one degree or another. hopefully, Apple will acknowledge it and do a free swap out

    2. the touchscreen has the same response as the iPhone, in my experience

    3. the dictionary does learn, i think.

    4. auto fill is not part of the browser, but if you check a box to rembember the info, it will do that. it has cookies.

    1. It isn't just a few, that's for sure. Its more than that, maybe 50/50? I'm not exactly sure.

    2. The touchscreen is the same, other than the ones that have that reflective layer issue causing the blacks to look washed out.

    3. I don't think it learns, but there may be a way to add your name to the dicitonary.. I'm not sure about that either.. sorry!

    4. I am not sure.

    I hope this helps..

Those who have theirs already (or have had and returned): Are you glad you kept it, or that you took it back?

Yeah i would do that too if mine had that problem. I just hope that when mine gets here it doesn't have the screen problem.
