    Hi there,

i just bought a new unlocked iPhone 3G and I'm using the firmware 3.0 .
Before I want to jailbreak, I'd like to ask some questions because I really don't want to brick my new favourite device

I hope the questions I ask aren't discussed a million times already.

    - Is Apple able to tell if I used a jailbreak, and will they brick it or do some other stuff to my iPhone if they find out?

    - Am I still able to sync. my iPhone with iTunes as usual?

Is it still possible to use the Appstore after a jailbreak?

Is it possible to update Apps over the Appstore that don't come "directly" from the Appstore?

Is it possible to use the Appstore and its Apps with a jailbreak?

If I'd decide to go back to normal, is it possible to do that without any problems?

Does a jailbreak destroy my iPhone?

And last but not least: Can I still use iTunes 9.0.1?

I hope these aren't too many questions and my english is readable without puking

    - Is Apple able to tell if I used a jailbreak, and will they brick it or do some other stuff to my iPhone if they find out? If you restore before taking it to an Apple Store, they can't tell, and no, why would they do that?

    - Am I still able to sync. my iPhone with iTunes as usual? Yes.

Is it still possible to use the Appstore after a jailbreak? Yes, why not?

Is it possible to update Apps over the Appstore that don't come "directly" from the Appstore? if you mean cracked apps, that's against the rules here.

Is it possible to use the Appstore and its Apps with a jailbreak? Yes.

If I'd decide to go back to normal, is it possible to do that without any problems? Simply restore in iTunes.

Does a jailbreak destroy my iPhone? Yes, it makes it blow up. Just kidding.

And last but not least: Can I still use iTunes 9.0.1? Yes.

if its unlocked on 3.0 it should already be jailbroken. im not sure if there is any other way to unlock without the jailbreak?

If redsn0w "freezes" on the waiting to reboot page just unplug and replug in your iPhone and it should continue the process (and it is safe to do so).
