First, the ''not so nooby one'' (I think, lol):

    I can't update my unjailbroken iPod Touch 2G (2.2) to 2.2.1
It backs it up for like, some 20 minutes, then, I just get an error message.

    What do I do?

    And the other questions:
    • How in the world am I supposed to get my 2G jailbroken?
    • Why do people say it's not out there, and some say it is?!?
    • Would Jailbreaking break my Software Warranty? Or some sort of Warranty?
    • If I jailbreak it, can I still install apps from the App Store?
    • If anything goes wrong, I can restore it, and it will be ''unjailbroken'' again, right?

    Thanks for the help.

I will, as soon as it shows up again.
I forgot what it was when I was making the thread, so now it's updating again, and I was waiting to see what it was.

I'll post back when I know.

But what about the other questions, guy?

    1- Use a GUI tool like http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141302&highlight=cyw00d
2- Because some might be older posts when it wasn't out.
3- Yes, it voids your warranty
    4- Yep

That's the kind of answer I was looking for.
    Thanks man.

And, fyi, it still says it's backing up my ipod.

If you're still trying to update.
Shift click restore and select the iPod2,1_2.2.1_5H11a_Restore

    Can't.
It's not letting me click anything, and it won't let me close the update.

    f***.
I got the error message, and by force of habbit, I pressed enter, and it went away.

    Goddammit, screw this.
I'll post it tomorrow, or something.
