    i had the same probelem

i followed pwnagetool's directions to put my iPod touch into DFU
and i got the 2001 error.

    there is an easy solution:

follow all the driections from pwnage tool
when finished it will tell you to quit pwnage tool
    after you quit it
itunes will see your ipod is in DFU restore mode
it will give you the error just pres ok
then unplug the USB from you iPod touch then plug it back in
hold down the Option key and hit the restore button
    select your custom firmware
and you should have a successful jailbreak!

    it worked for me

PM me or reply to the thread if this worked for you

If more people test this, and it works. And if it works on the new Uni-Body MacBooks, your a genius
