Just change the file extension from .zip to .ipsw

Right click, Rename, delete where it says .zip, and write .ipsw instead.

    Example: yourfilename1223.zip to yourfilename1223.ipsw

Okay then go to My Documents, tools (In The Top Bar), View tab, Uncheck "hide extensions for know file types", now try to change it.

    Why didn't you tell me?

    Open explorer
Click the Layout button (to the left of the Views button)
    Click Folder Options
    Click the View tab
Uncheck Hide extensions for known file types
Click OK and you are done.
