Alot of people use the term "brick" in the incorrect way Example "I bricked my ipod from trying to jailbreak it won't go into dfu" Well you didn't brick it your just a big stupid person that doesn't know how to plug their ipod in their computer and count to ten.

How do I brick my ipod?

The only way you could have bricked your ipod is by doing these things...

    1. Dropping a brick on your ipod.
    2. Opening your ipod and praying the flash from the board.
    3. Purposely deleting everything on the flash along with the dfu function that on the rom that saves your ipod from everything.

so now you know what brick really is instead of saying "I bricked my ipod" make a thread that says "Bad jailbreak" or something of that nature

nice, but the DFU mode is on the ROM, so you cant delete it. And even if you deleted everything through ssh you would still be able to get it into dfu mode

You can't delete everything from your iPod.

And dropping a brick on it isn't bricking it, it's just breaking it.

and if you pry anything out of your iPod, it's not bricked, it's broken.

You contradicted yourself; how can you delete anything that is read-only?
Take the third point out completely because it's not possible.

No, I'm not, that is obviously why I didn't quote you (you never quote an OP; it's dumb).
Regardless if you had access to the ROM, it's still read-only.
