it is probable that we will see a 1.1.5 firmware release, for any last minute bug fixes and stuff. i would upgrade, but it doesnt really affect me cuz my ipod isnt jailbroken any more

the iphone simulator running in the SDK has a 1.2 firmware which is a beta version of the 2.0 firmware. Not sure if we will get other firmware before June. Only 2.0 matters I think and it seems that the dev-team already made some progress on this firmware.

    i feel the same..
version 2 is the only one that i will upgrade too....knowing that that will determine wheter i go legit or stay JB...
and i think 2.0 merits only a hard JB not a soft JB...

I think 2.0 is actually 1.2.0. ..Doesn't that make sense?

Yes, but 1.2 is beta testing firmware of 2.0
They are almost the same but may be when 2.0 is released it might have fixes if any problems were found in the 1.2 beta testing.

I don't think it would be called 2.0.0 because that is too far of a jump. There really aren't that many new features to be calling it 2.0.0 just yet. Apple always names their updates in the form of 0.0.0

1.2 is beta version of 2.0. Thats how it is. We've know it for almost a week now.

Major upgrades go up by a whole number. All the minor stuff (wiggle icons, etc.) were small. Getting third party apps on the iPhone is HUGE.

1.2.0 is 2.0 and people referring to 1.2(.0) as the beta, no your not right, because there the same thing, but there is a beta of the new firmware not referred as a different name, hopefully you understand now. And yes 1.2.0 is going to be the next firmware release in late June.
