So...the 2G has line-in. How long until we see some recording apps?

Line in would work for recording. Especially if it's decent quality. Now, the Touch is faster than many old Mac computers processor-wise. I know people who still use some old Macs for recording music.

How long do you think it will be until we start seeing some recording apps? GarageBand Mobile, perhaps? Or, even a simple Line-in recorder?

    Any opinions on this?

    Who knows...

but it sure is a heckavalot more convinient if you want to use ur Touch for VOIP, now that you don't need to attach an external mic adapter. free calls over WiFi FTW !

This too. I'm sure we'll see more VOIP apps as well.

is apple were smart, you should already have recording apps. if they were smart, they'd of made the line-in jack act like a iphone mic. which would make every app that uses the iphone mic work with the ipod touch.
