So yeah, slightly wondering why groups cannot be created/accessed anymore. Any mods got an answer to this?

I wasn't requesting for them to put groups back on, I'm just requesting an answer why it's just gone all of a sudden.

don't worry, i'm looking at other ways to encourage participation and community. i looked at the groups and many of them were encouraging exclusive behavior rather than inclusive community spirit. more ideas to come soon

I do like the groups, but why not have it so only a moderator can create them. Have groups that have like 'iMobster codes' (basically create a group that would replace a forum thread that the members only post 5 words or less in)

That's a good idea; Groups encourage community spirit, but at the same time, you don't want too many useless groups. Having official national groups is also an idea to consider.

I have been invited to about every group ever made and rarely after the first week does anyone post in them.

    Exactly

On paper the idea sounded good, but it didn't work well in reality.

We're moving on to different ways of encouraging participation.
