So now that jailbreak for iPhone and iPod touches are legal, is it okay to ask for a bit of money in exchange for jailbreaking? Cause I need to make some money to get the new iPod touch 4.

At one point it was illegal, but then the US of A passed a act to make it legal, then the other countries made it legal too. That's what I was told

In my area (Halifax), people are terribly scared of screwing up while jailbreaking or scared of the idea of jailbreaking overall. Especially my school, where like every second person has an iPod touch. I've jailbroken plenty of iPod touches before where people offered me like $20 but I did it for free anyways.

Told wrong. It was always legal. Just never any laws that officially said it was. But there was never no law that said it was not.

I've done it for a while now, maybe got like 20 bucks for each jailbreak.
