I realllllly want to get this phone, it just seems amazing. But, I'm 17 and I can't get on a contract or find someone who can sign. So I thought of this, buy the phone without a contract and then activate with ATnT and get service from them, I can do that right? Since its not a contract?

That would cost you more then getting a contract.

Well, I'm assuming he means he will get a contract with AT&T without a data plan, so in the long run, it will save him money.

not if he turns 3g access off or calls the company and tells them to block the internet, of course he wont be able to use the internet unless he is on wifi

I know. That's the 'without a data plan' part.

Ask your parents to sign it for you.

It's not as simple as that for everyone. I for one could never get my parents to sign a contract for me, which is why I'm paying for contract-less iPhone with cash. I bought my car 4 months ago for cash too.
