I just want the wallpaper to be black, but I want the icons that came with the theme. Is there a way to do this with winterboard?

Get a black background and change name to Wallpaper and place it in the theme folder you want to use it with.

yes, the manual way is to rename the wallpaper in the theme to something else so it wont be applied thru winterboard (SSH), the other way is to choose the wallpaper on the lockscreen by applying user wallpaper in winterboard.

this will only make the black wallpaper show up on the lock screen though. The wallpaper included with the theme will still show up on the springboard. I guess I'll have to figure out how to use SSH.

If you put the "User Wallpaper" and "User Lock Background" above the theme in the stack in winterboard and activate them, they should overwrite the wallpaper defined by the theme.
