Well i don't think i have wifi so i can't gain acess to the internet with my ipod touch that i just got 2 hrs ago =) yay me. What happens now? How do i set up wifi? I want to jailbreak it but i need the wifi apparently to install cydia from blackra1n. I thought if i just connected my ipod touch to the usb with the cable, i could be given internet. Sadly my idea did not work. =/

Do you have a WiFi network set up (as in, how do you get on the internet on your computer?).

Or, do you not even have WiFi at all...?

I don't think i have a wifi network set up. I have bell's high speed internet service and got this modem from them. It just automatically connects to the internet when i turn my computer on. That's as far as i know.

Ok. Have you gone to the 'Settings' app on your iPod?

From there, go to 'Wi-Fi,' and select (tap) the name of your network.

If you need a password, it should be in your internet documentation.

there is a way to trick your ipod into thinking its getting a wireless connection when in reality your ipod is connected via usb I did this before I'm trying to figure out how I did it.
