I already jailbroke my iPod on 2.0.0 firmware. It worked fine, but I decided to go back to normal apple firmware. I'm now on 2.0.2 Apple firmware.

Now, to get the jailbroken firmware back on it, what do I need to do? Restore to a clean 2.0.0 firmware, put the iPod into recovery mode, and then just install the 2.0.0 jailbroken firmware?

Anyone? Do I have all of this right?

No, you just need to put the iPod into DFU and shift-click restore and find the custom firmware. DFU instructions:

    Plug iPod in
Turn iPod off and wait 10s
    Hold both buttons for 10s
Release the power button and hold the home button until it shows up in iTunes.

Ah - so even though it's on 2.0.2 now I can "downgrade" to the custom firmware without hassle?

I know the DFU trick. How so many people have an issue with it is beyond me.

If it's a premade custom firmware that includes Cydia and Installer, and your iTunes is pwned, it will work if you DFU restore.

Just do it yourself. It's easy, and you'll know what you're getting. There are people who are sick enough to put out *******s of messed up firmware. Do it yourself, and know that it's right.
