    So, dev team, how long ago did you discover the untethered patch? How long were we kept waiting?

    OT: And even if Apple does seal up this exploit, won't the rewrite of the software open up new exploits to find?

    They probably found the untethered a couple days after finding out the tethered exploit

    They have known about it for at least 2 weeks. Musclenerd made a post on twitted that hinted that an LLB exploit had been found.

    even if they did have it, they had a really good reason to delay the release.

    discovered early feb by pod2g, actively developed until we had the first totally untethered booting iPod early March.

    So really, not long at all. I'm kind of upset you had to release early though...Some people are just too greedy...

    In hope that they could use the exploit for the next iPhone, I'm pretty sure that's it, but I could be wrong..
