Sorry if this has been asked before, but what is the best method to unjailbreak the ipod touch 4G. When I get one I want to have this knowledge.

I have heard from a few people that you can take a backup of the device while it's jailbroke, restore to that backup and it will be the same just all the jailbreak apps and cydia will not be there (deleted as itunes does not back them up)

Or, do a full restore and then sync your apps back, but if you do this don't you lose all your save game and app data? Or does iTunes back all this up?

Full restore. Do never restore from a Jailbroken backup, when you're jailed again. You get lots of ugly bugs.

I never get why people say that. I have NEVER had a problem with restoring from a Jailbroken backup while unjailbroken.

its better just to restore from an unjailbroken backup. safer, and less chances of your ipod getting screwed up

I haven't had any really nasty bugs, the only one I've encountered is having a custom carrier remain.

That too, although I have an iPhone, where I believe it is enabled by default.
