It takes up 6GB alone, and i was wondering if it's worth downloading...

If anyone has the Developer Preview, is there any reason i should download it?

Also, I wanted to do it through VM.

Unless you are a developer I wouldn't say its worth it. Appearance and function are basically the same as leopard. Its really not that different.

It can take Server editions, but not regular OS X.

I do not run anything but OSX on my macs, so Im not to up to speed on VMWare or any of that stuff, but Im assuming the "VM" in VMWare stands for "Virtual machine" Wouldnt running snow leopard on a virtual machine kind of defeat the reasons for running snow leopard?

Just strip all the powerPC support and all the other uneeded support from regular leopard (there are apps for this) and all the not needed languages (apps for that too) and you will have an OS that probably runs as fast as current snowleopard betas and probably more stable.

Anyone know when its expected to be officaly released?

I really dont update to beta's until there released official. Way to many bugs, and its better to wait. Its just not worth the hassle.
