is it because ipod touch 1g is a piece of crap in terms of processor and memory or because is not optimized?

idk, Last time i tried the SNES and GBA emulator on then 3.x days the emulator was very fast on my iPod 2G which only has a slight faster processor than the 1G

Maybe you got an old version?

When I had a 1g touch, no emulator ever ran smoothly or without insane amounts of lag. I think that while the 1g and 2g touch have the same processors, the 2g touch has an extra ARM7 core for jazelle acceleration. put simply, the 1g touch doesn't have the hardware to deal with emulation.

no both have the same cpu. one is just overxloxked to 532mhz 2g. but if it runs fine on an iphone 2g then it should on a 1g ipod.
