Does anyone remember when SMB was "Summerboard?" I was out of the country when 2.0 was released. I came back and everyone was talking about SMB. I was confused until I realized what it was. Anyway, I still think Summerboard when I see the letters "SMB." Is this just me, or is anyone else unable to forget how many threads there used to be about getting SMB (summerboard) to work?

Those were the days when jailbreaking was so useful...

Don't Forget Customize back when it was useful. I don't like winterboard that much.

Customize? You mean like "tap the spicychicken logo twice with two fingers when it opens so it doesn't crash" customize?
A version of it is still available on Cydia I think. I installed it once. It didn't work.

Customize 1.1.2 was quite amazing, and I wish SMB was ported to 2.0. Why, Nullriver, Why???

Ahhh summerboard and customize. I remember all the hype about these two apps. but i have to admit winterboard is pretty powerful and can theme more stuff than any of those two combined.

I liked both much more than I like Winterboard now. I personally think the jailbreak experience was better in the 1.1.x days...

But I guess that's just me?

Really? I loved how with customize you could use the icons from one app, the background from another, and the system sounds from a third. And you could change system strings. Of course, that's when it worked.

But do you remember Jailbreakme.com and everything back then how it was too easy?
