Why has my download speed gone to crap after jailbreaking (3.1.2 blackra1n)? Before I could download a podcast in 2 or 3 minutes. Now it takes 15-30. Before jb the Speedtest.net app would measure 5800kbps. After jb, I get a pathetic 860kbps. WTF?!

    Jail-breaking does that.

It uses up resources used for other things, like Wi-Fi, 3d rendering, etc... It really just slows it all down. And it isn't all daemons, because this is what I experienced RIGHT AFTER jail-breaking, so I had no chance to mess with that.

Just don't jailbreak and you won't have these problems.

I am not against most things you can achieve with a jailbreak, but for the two or maybe (cutting it close) three benefits, it's just not worth it.
