Slow sync

    Hey i just got my computer back.. It was sitting in the dust for like a month. But anyways when i did a sync for my ipod. It didnt need to sync anything, but it took like 3 minutes to finish saying sycning ipod.. Then it took like 5 minutes saying backing up.. Do you think its the computer or the ipod?

    Well it used to take about 5 seconds, now it takes like 2-3 minutes.... I did not use my computer in between the time and i just recently got a new iPod Touch.

    It is normal you can just cancel the backup unless you really want it to happen, I take 15 minutes to backup

    What does the back up even do?

    Backs up stuff like app progress, notes, contacts, ect...

    What firmware are you running?
    and
    What iTunes version are you running?

    There was an iTunes update that dramatically increased backup speed.

    Yeah i just did the update..... using 2.2.1 jb ipod touch and the newest iTunes. Anyways is there a way to downgrade iTunes? Or anyway to make it fast again?
