Has anyone else experienced extremely slow sync times with 3.0? I am using iTunes 8.1 on Windows 7 Beta and syncs seem to take forever. 2.2.1 was really snappy in comparison.

I had exactly the same problem as you sorcererx86 in windows 7 build 7057 with iTunes 8.1 and 1st gen ipod touch 3.0 Beta very long and slow syncs sometimes it doesn't even end so I downgraded to 2.2.1 using DFU mode

Nothing special. Just like a normal restore.

i am also running the beta of windows 7 and have a very slow sync. i believe it may be due to the new search function so it may be saving like search keywordsbecause i notice the more things i do at once the longer it is at the point of just saying that its syncing

for me it just oversyncs as in
I'll add a song/movie onto it then when iTunes says it's done my iPod will still say sync in progress for like 15-30 seconds more

Mine is the same way. It's taking forever to get my music on my phone. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

It seems to get slower if I sync more content on my iPod. For example, copying 10 TV episodes added only a minute to my sync time but copying my whole music library (800 songs) adds 30+ minutes.

weird. my sync is way faster than 2.2.1, but i iz running osx. slow sync may be because of Windows 7.
