    Is it just me, or does most jailbroken people have this;

    Whenever I play an app, ANY app, it could be Calculator, Maps, Bloons, etc, It takes long to leave the app.

    I click the home button, and it'll lagg the game for about 1-5 seconds, and finally it'll pop out, without the smooth animation, into the home screen.

    Safemode/Swapmode solves this.

    can anyone help me?

    EDIT: Im on 3.1.1 Jailbroken FW.

    yeah i get that also with some games (NFS, Peggle etc.) and it keeps happening in the safemode. Maybe its just becouse of the new firmware?

    it didn't use to happen on 2.2.1 .

    I think it happens because some apps use lots of RAM, so springboard (or parts of it) is/are dropped from RAM, so when you exit the app they have to be loaded back in.

    Just a guess though.

    I'm looking at your stats and it says you have an ipod touch 2g right? The ipod touch 2g only has about 50mb ram. If you have winterboard, then that takes up a lot of ram. Your touch could drop down to around 32mb and if you get to the 15mb range then the app takes a while to exit and it jumps to the springboard. If you turn off winterboard, you can see the difference.

    lol yeah same here. that's why I decided to buy the iPod touch 3g because it is faster and it comes with more ram. I think 256mb now so ghat is swell enough for everything
