    customize hasn't work for a while now, don't know what happened to them
    right now, you only have winterboard and i believe text can be changed through it...?
    research how winterboard themes are made and see if there are ways to change text and just make your own theme and apply through winterboard

    There is a program called extended preferences from cydia that lets you change your little iPod thing in the top left corner to whatever you want, but the only way I've found to change the slider text is with special code.

    You need:
    WinterBoard installed on your iPod.
    And iPhoneBrowser (if you don't want to SSH) on your computer.

    Create a file called SpringBoard.strings with this in it (quotation marks and all):

    "AWAY_LOCK_LABEL" = "[slider text here]";

    But replace [slider text here] with what you want it to say. Now save it, and use iPhoneBrowser (or whatever you use to get into your ipod's filesystem) and go to /Library/Themes and create a folder called "slidertext.theme" (or anything you want; no quotes) then inside that create a folder "Bundles" then inside that "com.apple.springboard" then inside THAT... "en.lproj" and but your SpringBoard.strings in that folder. Now open WinterBoard on your iPod and enable your theme. There ya go.

    What is so time consuming about SSHing? You know Winscp let's you save your session so you don't have to enter the IP addy & all that mumbo-jumbo everytime right?

    By the time you got a reply here you'd already be done SSHing that onto your iPod.

    Customize works with me when my phone has both wifi and data off. otherwise, it just crashes.
