    If you'd done a search for "remove slider text", you'd find a thread in the Tutorials sub-forum under "Themes and Customization" which lets WinterBoard remove such text. There's an example theme in there that lets you remove "Slide to Unlock" and has other text strings available for removing "Slide to Power Off" and "Slide to Answer".

    Go here:

    http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=105904

    Download the app (windows only).

    It may have to update quickly.

    Plug in your device.

    The very last tab on the left hand side says "String Editor" - Click it.

    It easy from there.

    Yes. Use WinterBoard, and in each Theme you have, go to the Bundles\com.apple.springboard folder. In there, create an En.lproj folder, then drop SpringBoard.strings into there. In that file you need to have at least this to change Slide to Unlock:

    away_lock_label='Text Here';

    Again, look for the thread Danis72 started called 'Remove "Slide to Unlock" text' in the Tutorials forum. I uploaded a theme in there which provides the SpringBoard.strings file as well as examples of what to use to change other lines of text. The iUtilities thing that joshrose gave you won't bloody well do what you want (custom slider text for each theme).

    Edit: If, for some reason, you don't want to search, use the following link. Drop that SpringBoard.strings file into the folder I listed, or just drag the whole folder into your Bundles\com.apple.springboard folder.

    Just replace the space in the '' with whatever text you want... like the theme name. Do this for every theme you want to give specific text to. The third page has an example of the code required to change the slide to power off and slide to answer text.
