    Hi,

As part of converting my iTouch to a voip phone, I recently installed Skype but I could not get the ringtone to work with the speakers. By default Skype uses that infernal beeping.

I have looked through the forum about changing ringtones but that only worked with the ring tone in the headphone. I would like to know if someone is calling me without plugging in.

At the very least I would like to make the infernal beeping louder...

    Thanks!

Btw: Does anyone have recommendations for the microphone? I am planning to get the default Apple microphone/headphone combo, not sure if it will work.

Also any general tips on getting voip working with an iTouch (I've looked at GVoice, Skype and Jajah, seems like Skype is best) will be greatly welcomed.

Well, I know Google Voice Mobile (GV Mobile) 2.0 has been released recently.

I think that's pretty cool... And free. No paying for credits at all.
    Same goes for SMS's.

If you're not into that, Skype is the best way to go.

I don't think GV allows incoming calls right now.
