It won't fit - the 1G's bezel and different shape (it's flat on the back, versus the curved back which tapers off towards the edge) will keep it from even fitting on the SKIN... much less the clamp-on part of the spine on the RebelTouch. Pretty much all hardcases, and most softcases which cling to the bezel of the 2G, will not fit the 1G.

sh*t ok, thanks for the reply Jarlath.

You know if you can get RebelTouch or any same looking / good skins for 1G?

The only SwitchEasy case that I can think of that's available for the 1G is the old CapsuleTouch. Nobody's yet made a RebelTouch-like case for the 1G that I'm aware of.

Oh ok, then what is the best skin protection for iPod Toch?
And if you had to choose between skin and hard-case what one would you choose?

For the 1G? Definitely a hardcase for protection - the skins don't cut it unless you only want something to stop scratches, in which case an InvisibleSkin, BSE, or even a Gelaskins or DecalGirl sticker'll do the trick.

    2G iPod touch
Will silicon really stretch over time? If so, how long does it usually take?

It will stretch some over the course of a few weeks or months... but it only gets LOOSER, rather than 'stretching enough' to fit onto an iPod Touch 1G if you bought a RebelTouch. Worse yet, the polycarbonate shell (the spine) will NOT fit onto the 1G as it was designed for the 2G's more curved form.

I have got an "Marware" silicon case from HuMac shop, and it is great - had it for a while now and it has not stretched or anything, works like a charm!
