I cannot stand when people use my iPad without my permission. So today, my brother told me how my sister was walking out of my room when he went upstairs to get some money. I allow him to use my iPad, because I trust him. So, he knows my password and he checked my Safari history, and sure enough, there were sites that had been access that I hadn't. So I confronted my sister later, and she denied it and threw a hissy fit, so I brought my parents out and showed them the history. My sister then said how she was on it the other day, but then I showed her that the history was from yesterday.

So, the questions that arise from this short story are, where should I hide my iPad while I am away from it. I like to have it on a charger when I am not using it, and what is a SUPER secure password I should use? Right now, I have my address as my password, but she knows it now...

Im pretty sure he can change it.
Did you try turning off simple code?

Well any numeric password with 4 digits isn't secure. But choose 4 numbers that she doesn't know/can't figure out. Tell your brother the passcode. I wouldn't hide it anywhere, she might break it while looking for it.

As for charging when you're not using. I would warn against that as that can damage the battery immensely. The best time to charge a device is when the battery is almost drained. I only charge my iPod/Phone/Laptop/PSP/Electronics when their is less than 20% (Normally less than 15%) battery left. The batteries seem to last longer, and you get more out of them.

Haha. Most of your suggestions are only available for iOS4! I have changed my password to 1337, because my sister doesn't pay video games.

And I read up about iPad batteries the other day. Don't worry, I don't charge my iPad when it's full! I usually wait until it's at 10%. And my iPad isn't jailbroken, so I can't lock the Internet apps without having the restrictions turned on.
