The app simple background is mainly used to have landscape wallpapers on the home screen, but has a secondary use of having a different wallpaper for your lockscreen and home screen, everything works fine when i set my lockscreen but when i set my home screen it just takes longer loading and nothing changes...halp

no like i can make my chosen wallpaper over my theme wallpaper, but dragging user wallpaper option to the top of my list in winter board. simple backround lets you choose your homescreen wallpaper and your lockscreen wallpaper separate
but its not working for me

Just edit it in your theme? And then you don't need to worry about that stuff...
