If your keen on getting a sneak peak at the new update, you will be getting an exclusive preview of many of the new and great features including Zune Music, ESPN on Xbox Live , Netfilx searching as well Part Chat and much more. If you do want a peek at the new features, nows your chance. How do you sign-up? Well thats a good question! Just head over to this website, sign in with your Windows Live ID that is connected to your Xbox GamerTag, fill out the survey and Microsoft will let you know if your getting it.

Major Nelson, Director of Programming for Xbox Live, says that the preview program is open to ALL Xbox Live users in all regions, though Gold members will be given priority over Silver members.

Also keep in mind this is not a Kinect preview, so don't expect to get any hardware. No one in your family can also be working for an Xbox competitor and the update can NOT be reverted.

It will work on all Xbox 360's.

    Dig in.

Good question, I would say you can still play online and everything but party chat only works with others who have the Beta installed if I'm correct

How would they know if anyone in your family works for an xbox competitor?

This will be the same as every other preview, they shall release it in waves, it isn't a secret beta or anything so everything will still work fine once you have it, unless you didn't get it from Microsoft then you won't be able to get online until the final version releases in November.

They actually expect people to be honest on those things? Who actually says, "Oh my brother works for Sony, therefore I can't get this. Darn." and turns it off.

That bit isn't even serious, you seriously expect that if competitors even wanted the preview they wouldn't get it when thousands of people will be getting this early!

i personally like the old (still standing) UI better, it gives a 3D feel, and with what appears no up and down scrolling, it looks like more work to get to one place.
