How did you restore when iTunes did not detect it?

First of all, you can't even click restore if it's not recognized. Second, iTunes 7.5 doesn't work with the iPod touch 2G. Only iTunes 8 and up.

send it to apple, if they cant restore it, than drop it in a glass of water, let it dry for two weeks, take it back to another apple store, say my ipot is bricked!!@#!11!#!
