A long while back, before iOS 4.0 came out, I backed up my SHSH with Cydia, in case i wanted to downgrade. I was on 3.1.3 at the time. I recently upgraded to 4.1, but I feel like downgrading again to 3.1.3, because a few of my app store apps are crashing on 4.1

However, when I try to restore to 3.1.3 firmware through itunes, it won't let me. I'm using the same laptop etc. and I changed the my hosts file to redirect to saurik's server before i had upgraded to 3.1.3 too (i think)

anyone got any idea as to why i can't go back to 3.1.3 again?

Try using tinyumbrella and save your shsh's from Cydia to your computer and run the TSS Server

All you have to do is run TinyUmbrella and plug in your device and hit save my shsh (or whatever it says) and make sure you set it to Cydia and not apple then run the TSS Server from there an restore to your ipsw

And it won't just save the 4.1 shsh itll save all shsh that you have on Cydia.

Well, in tinyumbrella's log tab, it tells me I do not have SHSH for ipodtouch 3.1.3, but below it, it does say that my shsh has been saved locally...

Does this mean i'll never be able to downgrade to 3.1.3 after all? I'm sure i did save my shsh...

Also, sorry for the double post.

No , saved locally is a good thing.
Download the desired firmeware, google it.
The Open itunes, Start the TSS server and shift restore to your firmware.

Well, the 3.1.3 SHSH doesn't show up in the "saved SHSHs panel on tinyumbrella...

And when i open tinyumbrella, it tells me my hosts file isn't readable, when i've checked that it is, and opened tinyumbrella as an administrator...

EDIT: the "start TSS server" option is greyed out too...

Reset your host file to normal.
Chose advanded option in tinyumbrella. Chose your version and request your saved shsh's from cydia.
Restart tinyumbralla to get the tss sever button working.
