    Hey

I am currently on firmware 3.0 (the last untethered jailbreak) and now that apple is not going to do their blobs (Wow, that doesn't sound right...), I was wondering if I can get my/some SHSH blobs for 3.0/3.1.2/3.1.3 in case I ever need to downgrade while I am at higher firmware—but do this while staying at 3.0.

    One other question though...

How will apple sign our firmwares if they're not going to be handing out blobs?

    Thanks in Advanced.

If you have a 2G ipod then all firmwares are untether, not just 3.0, and by getting your own blobs itunes will react to your blobs, not apples.

Really? Damn. I thought that affect all iPods. So your saying I could use redsn0w (can't have boot logos in Blackra1n) and jailbreak 3.1.2/3 untethered? Could I downgrade back to 3.0 if I wanted to?

And your saying iTunes itself will now start signing our firmware?

itunes doesnt check the firmware for devices cept for the MC models, so if your wanting to downgrade back to 3.0 then download the ipsw file and get the older itunes and shift+restore

I can shift+restore with my version of iTunes (9.0.2.25). And why does iTunes check them only for MC & 3G models

...And you might want to remove the "download firmwares" part of that sentence.
