So here's something interesting .... I was backing up my SHSH files for the HOPEFULLY JB comming and noticed that my SHSH files are not on Cydia or Apple... and when I check the Cydia app, it doesn't say anything about it being saved nor do I have the luv option. How can I save my SHSH files to Cydia if I don't have the 'slider' option in the app??? Thanks..

When did you do it? It takes a couple days for it to save

That's the thing, on this unit (8GB) I was never given the option to save in Cydia.

... So I decided to do the same on my 32GB unit and using Umbrella I was able to save the following SHSH files. (Keep in mind my FW is at 3.1.2)

    *-2g.3.1.2.SHSH
    *-2g.3.1.3.SHSH
    *-3g.3.1.3.SHSH

Now can some of you tech weenies out there explain to me why I was only able to save the 3G 3.1.3 SHSH files and nothing below it?

Well if I can explain this right its because Apple isn't signing anything but 3.1.3 atm (and never will again). They are always pushing the newest so if you don't have the SHSH older version already, you are not going to get it unless Cydia has it from a previous SHSH backup. As of today, only 3.1.3 can be signed. Apple rejects any others.

thats such a nice way to get help you know?

cydia is only storing 3.1.3 now, its too late for 3.1.2.

WRONG! You cannot get 3.1.2 or lower SHSH's if you have not saved them in Cydia. 3.1.3 is your only option.

Cydia doesn't have the love heart for me either. Any ideas?

Well I ment no disrespect on the 'tech weenie' remark ... but then again back in the day (remember i'm an old fart) that's how we communicated on the BBS's ... Guess I'll just have to wait till Spirit comes out..

The 8gb doesn't get the option. Cydia reads it as a 2nd gen, and so does not think the iPod needs it's blobs saving. Save it locally with Umbrella or Auto SHSH.
