I'm about to send my touch in
to have the headphone port fixed and I'm
wondering if I should wipe and revert to
    non-jailbroken before sending it in.
It's only going to an authorised service place
so yeah? But they might even wipe it anyway
    but yeah....anyways............

This isn't the thread I was expecting from the headline :/

On a more serious note, yes you definitely SHOULD restore to factory settings before returning to Apple for two reasons: 1) any serious problem should be followed by a restore as it MAY clear up the issue, 2) Apple have the right NOT to honour your warranty/guarantee if they believe you have jailbroken (jailbreaking voids yoru warranty/guarantee).
