I have heard that after upgrading to OS4 that a lot of apps stopped working. I don't need that hassle and wanted to see if this rumour is true. Thanks

P.S.--My itouch is latest gen with 32 gb

Do you want a jailbreak? Then don't update.

Sometimes Apps don't support OS4 so they crash.

    I'd say update.

It depends on want you want to do on iOS4.
If you want to jailbreak, there is a tethered jailbreak for it.
But I really like iOS 4 and think it's worth upgrading to. Even if you don't jailbreak.

    Upgrade to the 4.0.
It may seem that 4.0 is a waste of time but you'll notice improvement the first time you open your iPod.

It's a insane change in performance. You may want to do a restore while upgrading though.Seems that doing that prevents many bugs.Thats what I did and I haven't experienced any battery issues or any performance issues.Everything works the same and even better.

I considered using his tutorial but I'm not prepared for a screw up :/.So I'll stay on 4.0 unjailbroken

I think the update to 4 rocks and was totally worth it despite the fact I lost the jailbreak which to me is no big deal although by habit I do keep forgetting I'm not jailbroken anymore and sliding my finger across the top bar to turn wifi on/off. lol
