    Put it to sleep
Constantly turning it on and off kills the battery faster. Or so I've heard.

I put it to sleep but reboot it once in about 2 days. Turning ur iPod on can take up a lot of battery power

I never turn mine off. Ever.
I've had it more than a year, and never had a problem.

    same here, no problems...

I'm not gonna wait like 30 seconds just for my iPod to boot up everytime i want to listen to music. not to mention it drains the battery like crazy....

    Keep it asleep.

Everything is technically off, but not really.
