i was wondering if i should send my Jailbroken ipod touch 2g back to apple to get repaired because my ipod touch 2g is just stuck in recovery mode and i cant get it to restore. i have tried EVERYTHING to fix it. dfu mode still works but i always get error codes (9) and (13) when restoring.

when restoring, the ipod touch shows the bar then just turns off. so i was wondering, would apple find out its jailbroken since its stuck in recovery mode ? im really sad and angry at the same time because ive only had the ipod touch for less than 2 months.

I also found this searching around google and it seems that it has happened to a non-jailbroken ipod touch so i think i could get away with a new ipod because this guy has suffered what i am suffering now. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1893175&tstart=0

If you are sure that it really isn't fixable through the iPod itself, or using iTunes, then take it to an Apple store, and ask them to replace it.

But as I said, make sure that it really is FUBAR, else you might be asked some funny questions if they fix it...

if you put it into dfu mode apple wont be able to find out. they will try to restore it. they wont recover it.

if you don't have a custom restore logo, they most likely won't find out, since they'll probably just try to restore it.

Yes, you should try to send it back to them because i think what has happened to you is a hardware problem which Apple will give you a refurbished one for it.... I Read somewhere that this guy on the internet has a jailbroken ipod touch then it froze so he sent to apple and got a new one.. You have nuthing to loose to why not send it to them and if they find out they are not going 2 put you in jail but send it back to you...
