I jailbroke the day that the 3.0 JB came out. I've run on that same JB up until now.

However, I'm sick of categories, and some of the other JB things I've installed. Something has broken various features (Namely forcequitting apps - leaving both Safari and Mail running at all times).

    Now, should I just restore?

Will re-jailbreaking (pretty much just for a few apps/tweaks) cause force-quit to stop working again?

Uninstall what you dont want, and install SBSettings to close apps that run inthe background.

If you have a lot of stuff, then just restore, and start from scratch.

OH, and force quiting was changed in 3.0, you have to hold the power button until the slider comes up, and then hold the home button to force quit.
  3. Yeah, I would restore and re jailbreak it

I basically just have music on it right now, and need to redo that anyway. I guess the real question is if the JB itself is causing the inability to force-quit with the home button, or if it's something else that got tweaked?

Oh. Well that explains that. I guess I was too quick uninstalling all of my Cydia Apps. >_>

    Thanks.

I would just restore if you don't need anything and already have everything uninstalled. I like to restore my iPod occasionally. Speeds it up.
