I have a 1st gen. 8gb iPod touch that I did the Jailbreak on and I am wondering if I plug it in and do an upgrade will it mess with my Jailbreak and I am at the 2.2.1 right now? Just don't want to mess up all my efforts and the great Apps. I have put into the iPod and loose it all after upgrade, so any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks, The Crow.

if you upgrade yes it will get rid of all your jalibroken apps and you will have to rejaibreak, however if you restore from a backup all you settings as well as all your app data for APPSTORE applications will be restored, but you will still need to reinstall all your cydia stuff. Please search.

Or you could SSH into your iPod and copy all of your apps.

SSH into the ipod copy and paste everything in "applications" re-jailbreak then paste back

Thanks guys, is the SSH program the one where you can name and create folders? I have it but want to know how to use it properly, can you point me in the right direction on how to use it without messing anything up?

    Thanks, The Crow.
