Just this question.. Should I jailbreak? It seems to be making my iPod slower and battery life shorter.. and what does a jailbroken iPod give you compared to a non-jailbroken iPod? SBsettings? mxtube? thats it? and make my ipod slower because of it.. no i dont think so.
I am not a theme user, wallpaper for me is good, and multitasking is always handy.
    so yes or no?

Well yes. But themes could be a big part of it.

    Yes, Jailbrak. Its worth it.

Here are a few battery/Speed Tips:
    1. Don't Multitask, If you have it disabale it.
    2. Dont use battery percentage through Sbsettings. Big drain. If you want battery percentage use plists method.
3.Dont use winterboard for wallpapers, if you want wallpaer use native wallpaper.
    4. Use only simple themes with winterboard. The more elaborate the theme the more battery, being used.
    5. avoid cydia extensions and twaeks like inconoclasm, SBrotatorer, LSrotater, infiniboard..etc
    6. Edit plists to kill unnecessary launch daemons.
    7. Install screen dimmer.
    8. Last and most important. Power cycle your ipod once a week. Run the battery below 10% then charge it untill full while running a program like battery doctor pro.

If none of the tweaks interest you, then no, you shouldn't jailbreak it. Then again if they do interest you, go ahead and jailbreak. But don't install too many mods at once or it will slow down your device.
