Should I Get The Smart Cover?

    I'm picking up an iPad 3 tomorrow (super excited) and am wondering if I should pick up a Smart Cover as well. What are your thoughts and opinions on the product?

    I haven't used the smart cover but a case similar. If you want to be relaxed about your iPad, definitely get a smart cover or something similar. Its very useful for taking it places because you can put it in your bag without worrying about it. The smart covers are a little pricey, but then so are most iPad cases. From my experience you want a case where you can take the cover off when using it at home, which is what the smart cover can offer you. If you are ok with the price, it would be your best option.

    Okay, thanks! If I'm willing to drop $500+ on the iPad, why not stretch a little further and get the smart cover?

    I've been using the smart cover for over a year and very seldom power off the iPad
    thanks to it's cool sleep feature as well as protecting the tablet. I'd get another one
    if anything happened to this one.

    I've had mine for over a year and it still looks like new. It doesn't give good protection though

    I just got my iPad 3 a few days ago, and I'm disappointed that I don't have any money left for a smart cover. It would add the protection and a stand that I want.

    I'm going to get my iPad tonight and I will pickup the Smart Cover with it. I saw that they now have a Smart Case? I've been off in Android land for a while so I didn't even know.

    Hasn't Apple begun selling Smart Cases alongside Smart Covers? Why not grab one of those?
