Currently in Japan Softbank gives away the 8GB model of the iPhone for free, until end of May. Now this is a really good deal.
What I am wondering is, will there be a big upgrade in the new iPhone version?
Many speculate this $0 move is to get rid of the old iPhone before the new ones hit the stores somewhere around June.
So is it a good idea to get one now or will I regret when the new one comes in?
What kind of new features can I expect in the new version?

    Thank you.

Why NOT get it for free? Even if you will buy the new model, you can make money off the older one, or have a backup phone!

actually your right, i will get one this week in softbank tokyo....

it's really free, and for those who are asking if there's a scratch in it?

hell no! of course it's brand new...

and not just that, you'll pay for about more than half you pay in

    at&t monthly...

if i can only get multiple units within one name...

    __________
for those who don't believe, google search "iphone for everybody softbank"

    Thanks guys.
No there seems to be no catch in it. Just the usual 2-year contract.
But I am worried about is that whether the new version will be a lot better than this one.. I couldn't find any (speculated) specs for the new version..
