I am looking to get a refurbished iPhone 3G on the AT&T official website. I'll be at home with wifi most of the time, but if i go out i want to be able to check this site and others, also watch a few youtube videos and such. So which plan should i get?

Go with the 200MB plan and see how it pans out.

200MB can easily be eaten up, though.

I chewed up 200MB in about 5 to 7 days.

Try this. Sign up for the 2GB plan and try it out for the first few month(s). If you see yourself using 200mb or less, than go with the less expensive plan. If not stick to the 2GB plan. There's no other definite way of finding out how much data you will need.

Why do you even need a cell phone if you're not leaving the house??

Lots of people these days use cell phones as a main phone.

Also, I'm no expert in this, but can you just change your data plan? Don't you have to sign a contract? Or is the contract more of a "You just have to be with us but can change your plan" type thing?

No. No Youtube. I check Facebook, check Tribal Wars [Internet browser], check my email, browse the App Store for about 5 min a day, etc. Small stuff, but I just use it up, and I turn it off from Settings when I'm not using it.
