Well my home button wiggles slightly and i can hear it, but only when i move my thumb around on it and actually try to wiggle it. my mom can't feel it. anyways, should this be grounds for getting the device replaced, or should i just learn to live with it?

In short, is a wiggly home button a reason to get the device replaced?

Oh sorry and another thing. very rarely, when the device is locked and i press the home button, it doesnt work and i have to press it a second time. is that normal? also sometimes when i press the button once to exit an app, it thinks i double pressed it and brings up the app switcher. does that mean that the button is a little messed up? should i get it replaced, or is it no big deal? because it does really bother me a lot.

My home button started to act weird after a few months of having my iPod.

I "almost" turned it into the apple store and then it stopped acting weird.

Well to me you probably should get it checked out at the apple store.Make sure you restore your jailbroken device before taking it though.

You may not get a replacement but you will probably get a refurbished version if it is damaged inside.

Thanks for your answer. And I am probably going to take it to Costco. Will they give me a new or refurbished?

It depends on the damage your iPod has.If theres a major hardware malfunction they will replace it but if it's just the home button most likely you'll get a refurbished version.

If it works fine, then they might not replace it.
