So, currently i'm using a 8GB 2nd generation iPod Touch. It is jail-broken and modified. It works well too. The only thing is that game creators aren't making games for older generation iPods and authors only make tweaks for iOS 5.0+ and 4th generation iPods Touch. Also, alot of people tell me that i should get an upgrade. My question is, should i buy an iPod Touch 4G 32GB only to have more tweaks and games on it? If so, my plan was to buy it next month. Before i do this, i wanted to ask you guys what you think. From one side, I am sure i will enjoy the iPod Touch 4G more, and will like all the new tweaks, themes and basically the new stuff you can do with this thing. But from the other side, after i finally found the perfect case for the 2G and after so much time i spent downloading my games and setting up the looks of the iPod, i don't really wanna buy a new one. .:UPDATE:. First of all i REALLY didn't expect so much comments. THX GUISE Second thing, now it's clear that i'm upgrading to a new device. It thought about not updating, but you all really made me want something... new. Some of you suggested i would get 4G now: I might just do it. However, lately i considered buying an iPhone, instead of having my stupid Sony Ericsson as my cellphone. I was just thinking about it, but i'm still more into the iPod Touch. RAM and Camera problems don't bother me much. Some of you suggested waiting for the next generation iPod: If it's really going to come out at September, ok then. I'm going to prove myself that i CAN be patient. I will still have to wait for a jailbreak though, right? A problem is that my current iPod gets on my nerves lately. Which after a while will make me want an iPod "RIGHT NAWW D:<". It's not a bit problem though. I can still do whatever. Just a bit irritating. vvv THANK YOU ALL! KEEP COMMENTING! vvv
I also have an 8GB 2g, and I got tired of its constant crashing/slowness, so I got a 32GB 4g. I am extremely happy that I did. I think you should.
My 2g didn't crash even one app on 4.2.1. But my only problem is that lots of apps are not compatible. I would wait for the iPod Touch 5G when it comes out.
Yes, I used to have a 2G 8GB model and it was so leggy. I upgraded to a 32GB 4G and loved that thing. I really enjoyed it, you will too.
Like icekillez said I would suggest waiting for the next gen iPod to come out. If you are really needing an iPod go for the 4g but I would personally think waiting would be for the best.
I'll go with the crowd and agree that you should get the 4g iPod touch... I'm using one both for work and play, and have no regrets thus far, since purchasing it in December 2010!
