when i'm listening to my ipod through sounddock, which is between 5 to 10 hours a day on and off, i always have my ipod screen on so I can easily search and change the song....is it okay to leave the ipod screen on for such duration or will it cause some problems???

    thanks for your help

It might burn that image your screen, that's kind of doubtful though. Other than wasting your battery, no that won't hurt your iPod.

It won't waste his battery if the Sounddock is compatible, because it will charge the device whilst it plays music.

You could always put the timer bar on so that part of the screen is moving. It's not really an issue of burn unless you're listening to the same album, [hence the same cover art] for those 5 hours, which is doubtful.

I don't know about this, but I bet that if it were to burn your screen, you could get a free iPod from Apple, so it would actually maybe do more good than bad!

I would bet that it would make your screen wear out faster. Not like anything crazy, but just faster.

I don't see that during any harm unless the thing doesn't charge the iPod, but if it does no problem.

how do we know that screen burn isn't a problem? can we be sure?

i too have my ipod on playing music 5-10 hours a day, but i have the screen switch off automatically after 5 mins or so of non-activity. But, i'd like to leave it on/visible all day. but i dont because i'm afraid of this very problem.
