I have a 3rd Party mic and I was wondering if this would work for Shazam. I have a weak wifi connection by my computer so it isn't able to send, and I'm just curious because VoiceNotes wouldn't even start recording for me.

    Thanks,
    Jordan

    Midomi doesn't work for me.
It just freezes when I press stop.

[/LIST][*]Call Apple Endlessly to get Microphone attachement working
Start blending tons of iPod touches....
Invent my own microphone attachment, then rip off Apple
Okay, Apple better come out with the Microphone accessory for the iPod touch when they have a music event this fall.....

Otherwise, I will Invent my own Microphone attachment for iPod touch, then rip off apple by selling them on my website, (once it's ready to go), and if Apple sues, I will sue back for anti-trust and monopoly....

They won't, if you want a mic, buy an iPhone. That's apples philosophy.

    lol @ Tes

Tes does have a point tho, also apple does have the rights to stop you from selling mics. Not to mention they will not work because 1 you would have to modify every app to use it which is copyright infringement, and 2nd all sdk apps can NOT use the dock and this is locked by both the firmware and application so it is near impossile without a jailbreak.

Also if you did continue to sell mics even after apple asks you to stop, they can and most likely will sue you for copywrite infringement among other things.

The only way for you plan to work is to make a agreement with apple, but I dont think they would be willing because if they way then we would already have a working mic on the market or in the works.
