Shattered screen, now how do I open the case?

    If I were you, I'd leave it to the Apple professionals. I'm scared to even give you any advice on how to do this.
    If you're going to do it you'll need really steady hands.

    Try a different side or spot then work your way up the side.

    i TRIED for hours on mine and i just cant do it, i ruined the rubber skirt around the glass and separated the glass from the plastic piece its stuck to a little bit, i gave up

    Already looked through youtube, as I've said. All the video tutorials were for the first generation

    UPDATE: I was able to get the screen off, but it was more of a "piece-by-piece" thing. I've noticed that the plastic scaffolding isn't on the new digitizer I purchased. I assume I don't really need that, and I can just use adhesive?

    I am also stuck at this point. I need that plastic outer piece/ scaffolding. Does anyone know where to get this
